This is the first year the kids actually got to pick out their costumes (in previous years, Sadie's costume came from hand-me-down dress up clothes, and Chad was really too young to care...). Sadie wanted to be a witch, and Chad wanted to be a ghost. Well, until I got to the fabric store to buy fabric to make him a costume. Then he decided ghost's were too scary, and he wanted to be a pirate instead. Thankfully Target is next to the fabric store and there were exactly one pirate hat and one pirate sword left. Sam was Yoda. His costume stayed on for a total of 10 minutes :)
